From the silhouetted storybook opening, to a fully animated dance sequence taken from reference, this was made as a tribute to old fashioned Disney animated films when animators used dancers as reference for drawing characters such as Snow White and Aurora. There are also references to theatrical tropes such as the classic "broom dance" from the 'Cinderella' ballet, as well as aerialist routines.
